The catalog of a major exhibition at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art in Fort Worth, TX, Color: American Photograph Transformed tells the fascinating story of color’s integration into American fine art photography and how its acceptance revolutionized the practice of art.

I selected a photograph by Mark Cohen for the cover because of its classic composition and primary color palette. I also designed the display font, which is based on geometric shapes and inspired by early color filters used before the advent of color film.
