This cover design was inspired by Saul Bass’s title sequence for the film Psycho. The dissection and rearrangement of a set photo from Psycho conveys a sense of examination and analysis. The book is a revisionist reading challenging the opinion of misogyny, racism, and homophobia presented in male desire featured in works by Hitchcock, De Palma, Scorsese, and Friedkin.
