Originally a thesis dissertation, this book offers an examination of the transformative 1970s through the lens of central Texas’s counterculture. The cover design is inspired by split fountain screen printed gig posters from the time and an image of Darrell K. Royal, Jim Franklin, Billy Joe Shaver, and Waylon Jennings—the perfect visual representation of the synthesis of the redneck and hippie cultures.
