about

This book presents the shocking story of black inmate, Eroy Brown, who was acquitted after killing two high-ranking prison guards in a case that publicized the horrors of Texas's "plantation-style" prison system. I chose to repeat the photograph of Eroy Brown three times to symbolize the three trials he had to endure.
